Parents, Pat and Helga; sister, Kim Wiesmann, 28; brothers, Kyle, 27, and Kory, 24. Perry Township. Perry Meridian High School; freshman at Ball State University majoring in nursing. Selected as a 2007 500 Festival princess; Ball State dean's list; National Society of Collegiate Scholars; academic honors diploma (high school); National Honor Society (high school); Perry Meridian High School PTA scholarship recipient; Perry Meridian ambassador. "I wanted to be active in the community, promote Indianapolis and work with some of the brightest people in Indianapolis. I could do all three by becoming a princess. It's a great opportunity to do something good for the city." "One major responsibility of being a princess is just being active in our community and to promote the 500 Festival. We have to do at least two community outreaches from speaking to elementary students about the race, to going to visit the elderly, to even helping out with the humane society. We also have events we attend such as the mayor's brunch, the 500 Festival Parade, Snake-Pit Ball, Mini-Marathon, Kids Day." "One major hobby of mine is just spending and enjoying time with my family and friends. My family has helped to mold me into the person I am today because they are amazing. I also like to read, listen to music, play sports, be outside, shop and baby-sit my nieces." Basketball, track, cross country, ambassadors, S.R.O show choir, Best Buddies, Honor Society (all in high school); National Society of Collegiate Scholars; soon will be in Ball State Nurses Association; working at Indianapolis Sports Park; volunteering for the Final Four, Jubilee Christmas and food pantries. "I will be 29, and I would like to have a nursing job at Riley Children's Hospital. I would also like to own my own house. It would be nice to be married and maybe have children by then." "Forrest Gump," "Legends of the Fall," "Goodwill Hunting," "The Departed" and "Love and Basketball." " 'Memoirs of a Geisha.' I have read it over three times. I also love 'The DaVinci Code.' I think religion is a very interesting subject." "Grey's Anatomy," "Nip Tuck" and "Sex and the City." "I would first make sure my immediate family and myself were taken care of. I would also make sure my children were financially secure for the future. I'm sure I would buy a house and a few nice cars. I think charity would also be a good option. There is only so much money can do, though. I would just like to live a happy life." "My Grandpa Scaringe. He passed away when I was a sophomore in high school. Though it is cliché, you never realize how much you love someone or something until it is gone. I would love to play cards with him again and stick him with all the points in his hand because he tried to hold out on laying them down. He always made me smile." "I would love to live in Europe. It has so much culture and history. Also, my mother, and oma/opa (grandma and grandpa in German) were born in Germany, so that is part of my heritage. Paris is also the shopping capital of the world." "I love to cook and try out new recipes. I watch the cooking channel all the time while at school. I also have an angel on my shoulder. I was born nearly 21/2 months early. I only weighed 2 pounds. The doctor had advised my mom to terminate the pregnancy. She decided to fight for me and do anything she could to save my life. I'm lucky to be here today."
